My buddy J-Dogg went out a couple weeks ago and found this cool palmated droptine shed.

He looked for the match and couldn't find it, so he called the old junkyard shed dog, Mr. D for some help.
He was going nuts not being able to match it up, so I went out with him to see if I could find it.
As luck would have it, I found the match about a half mile away.

Here's the matched set. It's a pretty awesome set of sheds. Yes , I handed him the match and said great set!
The unfortunet thing is the buck busted off a big droptine off the end of the mainbeam. Oh well!

Another awesome droptine set of sheds from Illinois!!!!
I'm glad I was a part of finding the match for Jason.

Deerbone,
I'm not going to start anything with you on this forum, but for a first post, I'm not quite sure where you are going with your comment. It was not a forest preserve where these came from!
Even if it was, there are literally 100s if not 1000s of people scouring the local forest preserves in search of shed antlers every year in my area.. Some preserve cops have a problem with it, and others DO NOT! The worst part about it, is that some of the local forest preserve cops and the whitetail biologist are shed hunting themselves. I heard that there's a whitetail biologist in cook county that's shedhunting the preserves, and it's while he's on the clock. That's right, that's your money and mine. I also heard he's chasing people down in the field telling them that it's illegal to shed hunt the forest preserves. But it's ok for him to shine the animals at night, and when he sees a buck with bloody pedicals, he races in there at first light and snags the antlers, or he's picking them up while he's on the taxpayers dime. Then the idiot goes on to brag to people in the area about finding 2 booner sets of sheds in the same forest preserve. Kind of a double standard if you ask me anything about it. If I were him, I would worry about losing my job having loose lips like he has. Not real smart. That's all I have to say about it.
