Sure Sign of Spring in the West (Pics)
Saturday it was branding time on my Mother In laws ranch. It is always a time for friends and neighbors to get together. You work hard, laugh and joke, the kids have to pitch in and help and then everyone gets fed like kings at the end of the day plus lots of cold beer.
We branded 420 head yesterday and still have about 200 left. I got the job of castrating the bull calves.
Roping and dragging calves to the wrestlers
A busy crew is a happy crew. Notice the wreck about to happen on the left side of the pic. These guys had gotten into the beer a little too early.
Here I am helping the girls get one down.
My Bro in law riding back to rope another calf.
Eveybody has to help to get the work done
I will post more as soon as I get them hosted.

Good to see some still like to wrestle and rope,most any more everyone gose to calf tables.Heck I would have gone broke in Highschool if it wern't for spring branding.
