California Deer Hunting
25 hours and counting till bow season in California. Zone C3 is about ready to be one less buck than before. Anyone hunting the A1 archery C ZONES this year?

Well I don't bow hunt... but general A rifle is open tomorrow... dang, we didn't get an A tag this year... but I guess we still could since we only got a general B. A good friend of mine's father owns like 7oo acers near clear lake and they are up there now for opening day tomorrow.

Yeah right Cody your only dreamin. Not only am I gonna win you probably won't even get one. I could shoot a little 1x2 out at my place and still win.

I was born/raised in clearlake but live in Phoenix now. Lots of deer in those hills, just not the easiest to find them at times (unless you are driving at night of course).

Today i scouted for about 1 hr. and saw a bachelor group of 5 bucks. 4 of them were 4x4's andthere was one monster there that had a drop tine on each side with 3 inch eye guards with forks, he was also abou 30 in. wide and 20 tall. So many horns on each side that when he turns his head you cant see thru his horns. either a 7x7 or 8x8
