I bought a cow tag in that zone, but being it's for the first rifle season, I got an additional 11 zones in that area. I'm going up a week from this Friday for our hunt, but will actually end up hunting zone 24 which is right above 33.
I had someone tell me one time they hunted 33, somewhere south of Trappers Lake. You might check that area out if you get a chance.

the coordinates to my honey hole are...darn must have cleared them from the gps. can kill a bull every time from this spot, three of us got one each three days in a row standing on the X. anyway, take a look around the Heart Lake area. set ALL DAY in the saddle of any dark timber ridge and stay awake! if you stay in the woods all day and not in a truck cab you should have some luck. lots of elk over there. the Trappers Lake area has had bad fires the last couple of years, not sure what it looks like now.

Thanks for the info. guys, I will put it to good use. Good luck on your hunt copeemmy, let us know how you make out. I'm with you on staying out all day wapiti, don't think I've ever seen an elk from the cab of a truck. That's good to hear of your success, do you go archery or muzzleloader? Do you cow call or anything while on stand in the timber? Put in for muzzle this year for the first time with no luck. Darn GPS. Can't wait to go, I'll be sure to let you guys know how we do. See Ya
