Default new to washington

Hello to all,
I am new to the board and new to washington. I am doing some elk hunting with bow this year and was wondering if anybody had any pointers for me. I was planning on hunting the 448 GMU. Any info would be great, thanks.

Welcome!

Did you purchase your tag yet? The reason is that WA had an eastern/western tag. You have to choose which side you're going to hunt.

I also hunt during archery on the eastern tag. Any area around Yakima and Ellensburg is good. I don't know much about the west side. Good luck.

Like I've said, I don't know much about the west side. I met a guy last year at a gas station (coming back from Portland). He got a truck load of meet. I talked to him, and he said that he was hunting that area around Kelso. You might want to try south/east of Chehelas to around Kelso. Sorry if I bump into someone's honey spot.

If you are new to Washington. Try this website

www.huntwashingtonstate.com

It'll point you in a direction, but won't shoot your animal for you.

If there's an elk in 448, he's one lonely elk. Try the link Wazzu gave you then ask more questions. Welcome to Washington.
