I'm new to the site and in a bit of a panic. I had a hunt planned for the Lewistown, MT area, but my hunting partner fell through. I haven't hunted in Montana, but I'm planning to be in the Lewistown area in September and was looking for advice on the Little Snowy's, or 411 district.
Any advice on people to contact? I was told there were a few ranchers that had access to public ground. I am certainly willing to pay any trespass fees, etc.
Thanks in advance! And feel free to contact me via email.

I wish I could help you out with more than just a general answer. I have never hunted in the snowy mountains. I have been told that there are only a few public access points? For this reason I choose to hunt on the west side of the state where there is more public land.
You can call the Region 4 Montana Fish Wildlife & Parks office in Great Falls, Montana. There phone number is (406) 454-5840. Ask them how the public access is in the Snowy's & also ask them about there block management program in that area.
Good Luck,
WK
