My first post, I've read a lot of others post about hunting in the mountains. I'm just wondering do a lot of you hike in 5 to 10 miles for high buck season?
or am I just crazy, thanks.

Well, that is in my plans this season!! I will most likely have to hike about 5 miles or more from the nearest road to get to where the big deer are.

thats the way to do it! hike where you can get away from everyone else and beleive you will find BIG bucks.

I typically hike through an area that I know holds deer. I will sit down and glass for awhile. I end up hiking around 10-15 miles a day.
