The bear your dad saw was around Capitol forest area?
Also does anybody know how much pressure this area gets for bear?
I dont want to go up there and have to deal with idiots all over the place..

Uh...no...it was up around Eatonville. I really don't know how much pressure it gets for bear? But I know quite a few guys hit it for turkey and alot of guys deer hunt it. Plus it gets a lot of trailbike riders pedal and moto. So it' might be better to get out aways. Maybe say on the southern and western sides more over toward Oakvill and Elma. DNR has maps I'd get one and start running around up there to scout.

Have you thought about heading down to the Mossyrock area, specifically in the Winston Creek Unit? There are a ton of bears in there, and when I scouted it for elk a few summers back I never saw another person. Now opening day of archery elk was a freeway. I could give you a few areas to check that I found some sign(tree scratches and scat). You really need to find clearings with berries this time of year. I can tell you where a few are down there if you're interested.
