That is a nice buck. I have never shot a mule deer before, with horns like that I bet the ol'heart starts pounding. Someday I will half to try it out but I love hunting blacktail deer so much that I just cant get my self to go over there. I guess I need to go out of state or put in for some special tags.[8D]

Im not sure where he said he talked to ya, he just said he did. He didnt have a buck tag this year but one of his buddies might have, he had a ML bull tag out there and shot a 6x6 with a eyeguard stuck in his forhead that had broke off another bull from fighting, looked like a unicorn.

I looked at the stats for that area today and out of the 77 tags for the area there were only 2 bucks taken that were definatly bigger and 7 that were comprable, so I feel like I did good pulling the trigger. That makes me happy after setteling for a "meat buck" in Idaho after a week of hunting. My big fear for that hunt was not being pickey enough and not making the best use of the tag.

WaBlacktailHunter, I see you live just down the road and are a quad enthusiast. Do you ride the North Elma area? Drop me an E-Mail some time and we'll hit the trails. We may ride from my house to Lake Nehwatzel this Saturday For some bloody Mary's, never a bad trip.
