I just bought some elk and deer calls the other day. My friend says that the rut is over and I should not even bother bringing them. On the other hand I know that bow hunters use these and now is the season for them.

I am new to this any wisdom to guide would be geatly appreciated.

this would be the time of the rut you should go buy some good hunting books on the species your hunting and read on...then " HUNT ON"
