shot high, there is some real good turkey hunting in Wingate (east of Gallup). I also lived on the Rez, in Window Rock. Found good fishing/hunting in the Chuskas (Narbona Pass area). Friends have said the turkey permits were lowered from previous years. BIG muley bucks can be shot on the Rez if you know where to go. Non-native (anglo) hunting tags are outrageous [:'(]. You can purchase o-t-c tags in NM for deer (in some units), or put in for the draw.
