Hows the elk hunting around this area.

The area close to Grand Junction itself isn't very good for elk. But you can head south and get into the Grand Mesa which is good or you can go north to the Douglas Pass area which is also good. Due east of Junction is Debeque and that area can be good in the later seasons since it is winter ground.

None of them are easy hunting though.
