Default Hunter's Safety Test

Hello everyone. I'm new to the world of hunting, and I don't even have a license yet. Nor have I gone hunting before in my life. Unless fishing counts... But anyways, I am going to be taking my Hunter Safety Test soon, and I was wondering if anybody could tell me what to expect. Also, I'm live in CA, so it may be different from state to state, but I'm not sure.

Welcome to the forum nizzle. No, fishing doesn't count. lol

Are you just trying to take the test on line, or will you be attending a hunter safety class. The class will teach you everything you need to know for the test. Depending on your age and state (Calif) you may be able to take the test online.

Do a google search and you will find multiple hunter safety web sites, some with a practice test that you can take online.

I suggest that you study your hunters safety book at least once a day for a couple of weeks before the test. Both my daughters did this and 1 got all the answers right and the other got only 1 wrong. Can't argue with those results.

I teach Hunter Ed and do the homework and answer the questions in the back of your book.
That will help you with the written test and the hands on is self explanatory.

but I do need to know if you are in a class or online as each is slightly different.

Turkey season in CA just started a week and a half ago. Still time to get out there.
