Anyone From Alaska?
Wow it has been a while since I have been to this forum. I was a member 10 years ago or so and moved to Alaska from Montana.
The main reason was for better hunting opportunities. Well it has happened and Finally the dream has come true. I have drawn a Kodiak Brown Bear tag.

What area of Kodiak did you draw? I struck out on all three of my Kodiak bear applications. I hunted goats on the south end of the island last year and saw bears galore. Good luck.
I too moved to AK from MT about ten years ago. The hunting up here has its perks but I wouldn't necessarilly say it's better.

Kodiak Bear
DB242 for next Spring. Frazer lake. I have been pretty lucky drawing tags up here. 1 Goat, 1 Sheep and now this Kodiak bear.
There is a story behind this as the Goat tag I drew was the same area. I shot a Goat but, A big Brown claimed it for his own. Nothing I could do, could shoot as is was not a DLP situation. I vengeance is that I drew a tag and will be looking for that Bear.
My boy made a Video, kind of crappy but shows the Bear.
