Anyone else notice fewer hunters?

Didn't see as many out hunting pronghorns this year, but ran into a lot more deer hunters - most from Iowa, Minnesota, and Michigan. Most seemed very familiar with the country when I talked to some of them, not something I'd have expected from someone who hadn't been there before. I'm inclined to say that these guys probably have a "tradition" of sorts going that the economy couldn't put a dent in?
