I am from Elk Grove which is just south of Sacramento. Beale Air Force Base is located adjacent to the 11,000 acre Spenceville Wildlife Area so MTairman is very conveniently located to a good hunting spot, particularly for turkeys.

SP10 :
sounds like a good plan. I have never hunted there for ducks/geese. I did hunt for them up at feather river with no sucess for two years so i have not hunted ducks/geese in past two years. I was able to connected on a good 3x3 blacktail. Heading back up on the opener for rifle to fight the crowds and see if our group (family) can get one. there are a few turks out at the feather river, but i have only seen them in the winter. Cache creek does hold pigs, very few and in 3 years of hunting them i was only able to see 1.
going to finish out rifle season for deer and possibley get a bear tag to try and connect on one of them. I have never eaten bear and would like to see if i like it or not.
good luck on your ducks/geese and turks this year.
