I am a whitetail hunter and have never hunted for Elk. I am doing some research for my brother and his father in law. Looking for some good referals on a Guided 4-7 thousand dollar hunt. It has to be in the states cant get accross the border to Canada. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Try Kevin @ www.diamondjoutfitters.com He has an outfitting business in WY & another in NM. I hunted with him for moose in WY. Good Guy, hunts hards, good camp, good stock----it's a horseback huntin the WY. Look about right in your price range. I personally saw some good bulls in his WY area. 300+ is a good bull IMO. CB

First I'd figure what state....then get more specific......
nevada/utah, dont think you can do a quality trophy hunt for that cost, arizona I don't think either
so its down to New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, of these, I'd toss out Colorado, higher altitude, more animals but less trophy quality.....
also rifle? archery? muzzleloader?
I'd lean towards New Mexico or Wyoming near yellowstone.....
