CO Dept of wildlife announced that there will be a reduction in license sales for deer and possibly elk for the 2008 hunting season do to high mortality rates. This will be evaluated on unit by unit basis.

We,ve had a harsher than normal winter in N.W Colo. and especially thru the Gunnison valley. The deer might be effected a bit, but, the elk will be just fine.

I still wouldn,t believe everything this DOW has to say, though!
