I just got word that Wyerhauser had closed down all their land in the Johnson Creek/Skookumchuck area - including for walk-ins... Can anyone confirm or deny this??? That is some of the best public access to turkeys in the past[:@]

Whooooh, it' s NOT closed! I just got off the horn with Vail Security, and the only area that is closed is the area around their main gate, and around Vail. That is only on the weekdays because they are logging in there. He never mentioned anything about closing it for turkey season, and I even told him I was going in there to scout for them. Very nice guy. Make sure you call before going though, since they are logging in there. The number for the Security office is (360)446-3818.

I was getting a little nervous there. I was thinking about all that hunting pressure there moving to other turkey spots on the west side.
