RE: Alaska Thread

Jim, what day do you get into Vegas? I get home around 9pm on Friday, the 14th. Should have plenty of time to fix up some dinner, and shoot the stuff while you are in Vegas though, family isn' t coming through until the 4th of December. Do you know how long you are in town for? I' m pretty sure that Walmart has those attachments, I can swing by when I get back home and find out for sure. We got ours from Freddies in Fairbanks. The grinder is a bit expensive, but the sausage stuffers aren' t bad. You can also buy a three piece kit that has the grinder, stuffer and I think a chopper for about $40 if I remember correctly.

Nimrod, thanks for dinner tonight! Good seeing you again and best of luck in America! Thanks for the flu shot. SEAK nailed me right in the arm on the way back into town. [&o] Thanks for the video!

ABM

I didn' t even think to check Wally World. I purchased my Kitchen Aid from a specialty shop, and have been checking others for the attachments. I found the grinder is running about $50, so your right a little spendy for a simple attachment, but it beats purchasing an entire grinder.

Are you missing a digit from your figure of $40? If I can purchase all three for $40, that is a steal. But sounds too good to be true.

I am leaving Idaho Saturday a.m. and expect to be on the road 9-11 hours. I leave the following Sunday. I' ll shoot you my cell number before Friday.

Here is another avenue. E-bay actually has an authorized kitchen aid dealer, but this is from just typing in kitchen aid on a search. There was a sausage stuffer somewhere in there also. My wife reminded me that Wally World doesn' t carry kitchen aid, although I thought they did, but there is a brand new outlet store that has everything for them and it isn' t too far away from Nellis. If you want to pick one up while you are in Vegas, let me know and I' ll look around before you get there.

Here' s the three piece kit I was talking about, I guess it was a juicer, not a shredder though. Price here was $89.99 + ~ $10.00 in shipping. I think I saw the grinder alone for $40 before, the kit was on sale at the same time for around 70 bucks as far as I remember. That was a while ago while I was looking for the sausage stuffer though. Here' s the link to the three piece kit...

Nimrod, now that it is winter, and less light out, we can probably make it over more often. I' d like to try and get the bows over there a couple of nights just to practice some during the winter. I can shoot all of about 10 yards in my garage, at least it keeps the trigger finger warm and my form somewhat consistant.

Good thinking on the ebay Jerry. I was thinking the same, but you beat me to the punch.

Don' t go running around town trying to find deals for me, but if you keep your eyes peeled while you' re out and come across a good find, definitely let me know. I kinda like the looks of the the 3-piece set. Not that I need the juicer, but it seems like more of a bargain.

Found out we are staying off base while there, not sure where though. Will not find that info out until 24 hours prior.

Not sure if you have ever had, or care to have mule deer, but if you would like to sample some...I can bring a bit with me. Let me know!

Will bring a package of steaks and a package of stew meat down to you. I busted a decent buck on Halloween.
