NIM - Juno grl IS pretty sweet - anybody that shares King crab with a gimpy, old, broken-down neighbor is pretty sweet!;)

Too bad about the turkey troubles. I never have heard of " tom fever" , so I suspect it was the equipment.

Just curious, what type of call were you using in TN? I just received a very nice glass friction call from a friend who makes them over in New York - great sounds! He made me an aluminum in a purpleheart wood pot last Spring and it has a sound all of its own, too. I' m getting set up for my turkey expedition to Oregon for 2 weeks in May, and the excitement is building! The boat goes in the water tomorrow so I can catch a couple of Kings to take south for the grandkids!

Haven' t heard a word from SE AK - is he currently out hazing black bear?

PHISH-ON- YEA PHISH IF I HAD SOMEONE BRING ME KING CRAB I WOULD SUCK UP ALSO [:o][>:][&:]. AND I DON' T DOUBT THAT SHE IS SWEET BUT I FIGURE SHE WOULD SLAM ME IF SHE GETS THE CHANCE. I DID NOT DO ANY CALLING, THE YOUNG FRIEND THAT WAS HELPING ME HAD A VEST FULL OF CALLS HE HAD TO USE THEM ALL TO GET THE TOM' S IN. THEY SEEMED TO RESPOND BEST TO HIS SLATE CALL AND NEXT WAS THE DIAPHRAM CALL. I DON' T KNOW WHAT MAKE CALLS THEY WERE. THE SLATE WAS IN A GREEN PLASTIC BASE AND HAD A BLACK NYLON CASE. I' M NOT SURE WHERE THE SHOVEL GUY IS ? OOPS CALLED HIS WORK. HE IS THERE, HE SAYS HI AND SORRY HE MISSED YOU HE MISSED YOUR EARLIER MESSAGE AND DOES NOT HAVE ACCESS NOW TO THE WEB.

Hey guys, on the phone with SEAK right now. He says, " Nim, if you weren' t so old, maybe you could hold your arm up high enough to actually shoot a turkey. Maybe you' re right--that big heavy Matthew bow is too much for you. Maybe you should go back to using a stick to flick your arrows. :D Phish, sorry I missed you in Juneau. Didn' t get the message to meet with you until too late. Only in town for five days. Boat' s not ready, but parts are on order though! When do you leave for Oregon? I get back May 1."

See, Nim!!! That' s exactly what I' m talkin' about! I' d never razz you that bad! Well, I might giggle as SEAK' s teasing you, but that' s a different story all together!

Gorgeous evening here in Juneau, huh, Phish? I feel sorry for all those who aren' t here!!

HAPPY EASTER, everybody!

Yes, Juno grl, it was a pretty nice evening here. And lots of stars out tonight - maybe we' ll have another decent day for Easter.

Got my boat in the water just before dark, and had the engine running for awhile. Tomorrow all the equipment goes aboard and maybe I' ll get in an hour or two of trolling. Yeehaw!:D
