Default Oregon Hunting Advice

My future wife keeps suggesting we move to Portland, Oregon. I was wondering if anyone could give me some input on what hunting is like in that section of the state. Here in Wisconsin I'm mostly interested in deer and waterfowl hunting. For deer I love hunting lowland river bottom marshes/hardwoods. If anyone could give me information on the quality of hunting waterfowl/big game near Portland and other parts of the state I would appreciate it. I've heard the best hunting in Oregon is in the northeast, and that the only area to hunt whitetails is in this region. Is this true? Thanks for any help.

I dont know about Portland but Grants Pass is pretty good but these blacktails are harder to hunt compared to white-tails but there is some great elk huntingwithin 1 and a half hours ofPortland and it's realy good waterfowl hunting up there and there arelots of bear over here.

What kind of coyote hunting is there out there? I've always been fascinated with the idea of coyote hunting.
