Anyone planning on attending the NWTF national convention this coming weekend (August 25th)? Doesn't look like I'm going to make it, but I would love for someone to send me some pictures of the events.

WOW Wayne 9 days!!!! You sould have a good time, and plenty of time to get on some critters!!! It will be interesting to see what you think of the wet side of the state, after 9 days of hunting in it? And if you think you see little gentlemen with AK's and black PJ's, don't worry it just looks like Nan jungles...*L* Wishing you the best of luck!!!!!

Wayne, absolutely bring your stands. The deer and elk don't see 'em much over here. It's not like where I'm from where the deer look up in the trees as they walk through the woods. They are familiar with "Death from above". I don't know what kind of stands you have(climber or hang-on), but make sure you bring a good saw and some pruning shears. These Doug firs have lots of little snags on 'em. Not so bad with hang-ons, but are hell for me and my Ol'Man Vision. It really puts you above the underbrush over here. Good luck. I wish I was getting 9 days. I'm only going out on the 2nd, evening of the 6th-8th, and maybe the 14th.
Hunt hard, live right, and tell your kids you love 'em!
