Who keeps sayin no big bulls in Colorada.
Looks like 20 inch eye guards, 45 inch spread and lots of mass. Main beam 45? That bad boys gotta be 340, if he's a 6+6.
Congrats and tell me your gettin him mounted.
Thanks for sharing.

tangozulu -
yes to the mounting; he's at local taxidermist already.
Believe it or not he's actually a 7x7 - hard to see in photo, but each side has one small (3") abnormal point directly behind the brow tines. and the last point on left side (my right in photo) is only 3.5", again hard to see in photo. We have someone set up to take official measurements after 60th day, but our unofficial (and not terribly acurate) measurement immediately after harvest came in at 385 - so maybe 340-350 after drying out?
A couple other hunters in same unit told us the came across an even larger 7x8 later that same day in the same area, unfortunately they all had cow tags - and this is on public land!

That is a nice bull.. I can see the 7th point on the right antler. I dont know about being a green score of 385.. Just basing off of the picture.. I'd say he's a solid 340-350 though. Congrats, excellent first bull.. Post up some of the tine lengths so we can get a more accurate feel for his true size!

clintypoo - i think 385 is high also; we were thrown off on how to score those little abnormal points - I actually came up with 370, my buddy came up with 385. I guess we'll know for sure another month or so after drying out period. regardless, i'm plenty happy to have 1) had a great hunt with my buddies and my brother, 2) that I actually got into some elk this year and 3) that my freezer is full!
Some numbers for you as requested: main beams 51" left and 56.25" right. Brow tines, (G1)18.75" & 18". G2 - 20.7" & 19.5". Greatest spread 50.75", tip to tip spread 48.5". Circumference between G1 & G2 - 8.5" & 9".
