Weve been hunting the breaks area for elk and are bringing a 16 ft flat bottom boat prop boat. what is the water level like at the fred robinson bridge hwy 191 down to UL bend ? our first year we went up to goose island area with boat but i believe there is a motor restiction the 1st week of the elk season. otherwise we have hunted the breaks and not the river we are going to check out down stream from the bridge and lauch bellow the elk refuge. Does anyone have any input on how the river is and hunting stituation. I have heard that guides do a bit of stand set-up along the river. how crazy is that area above UL bend on the 622 side?
Any info on units 621-622 would be greatly appreciated.

Seems like you and I will be sharing the same hunting turf. I've been hunting on both sideseast of the bridge for the past 5 years and I've never seen boaters have a problem with water level in sept. Depending on rain, the gumbo clay can be a real problem so a set of chains wouldn't be a bad ideal. Weather will prombley be in the 100's in the afternoon and near freezing at night. This is what I have usually experienced but sometimes you never know what mother nature has in store so be prepared for the unexpected and good luck.
