The wife and I and another couple are intrested in hunting antelope in Wyoming, preferably public land no guide (very tight budget you know the drill). We don't know where or what to look for to get started. Trophys are not required, just a good hunt with an opportunity to take an animal and have a good time. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You may want to try Thunder Basin National Grasslands. It is north of Douglas around a little town named Bill. I have hunted it in the past with good results.
Good luck.

Hunt area 27, 6 and 7 are in the Thunder Basin National Grasslands in the North east part of the state. Area 27 is hard to draw for most of the time so 6 and 7 would be your best chance. There are some great trophies out there and lots of antelope on public land.
