In all honesty, it will take you a lifetime before you draw a tag. I've been at it for over 20 years. I've been applying since they 1st had a season. I've got the maxium number of preference points & weighted points. Nothing so far. You are better off trying to draw a WY tag---It's $75 a preference point there & will take you a good 6 to 8 years before you draw.

Or pay the money & go to BC or AK.

Sorry to sound so negative but it's the truth. CB

As Colo. Bob has said, getting a tag to hunt moose in CO. is the hard part. I see moose every year while elk hunting near Frasier/Grandy!

They are all about the same odds of drawing. I've applied for 76, 171, And I'm thinking of trying 6 this year. Lots of guys applying for just a few tags. Good luck----

I live in loveland and colorado bob is right. Keep in mind that they issue under 200 tags per year. So, being an out of stater and all, I would reccomend canada. They are easier to get a tag and they are bigger species anyway. Ours are sirah moose which only go about 40" wide on a normal spread. EJ

I was just reading some stats this week on Bull Moose in CO.GMU 7, but that sametag for 7.The area you are talking about is OK but over 1019 put in last season and they gave out7 tags. All 7 went to locals. This is for Arch, ML and Rifle. Good luck. . . . .
