This is directed to Southern California residents. More specifically the Orange County/Riverside/Corona areas.
I have a Weatherby Vanguard in 30-06 with a Bushnell 3-9x40 scope on it. I have hunted with it once, and got a hog with it. Its my first gun that I've had a scope on, and I'm having some trouble. I tried setting it up for 2 inches high at 100 dead on at 200 type thing, but I really don't know if I did it properly. Also, I can't get any really tight groupings, my shots are kind of spread around.
So my questions are:
1)Would anybody be able/willing to help out a young hunter and help me sight in my rifle and help me with technique to shrink my groups
2)Where are some ranges that I can go to? I don't mind driving to a farther range if someone wanted to meet me there

I no longer live in Cali but as far as your rifle goes, try different ammo. Your gun will like some and not others. Call B & B they should be able to help with a range. I would try to shoot 200 if that is what you want your zero at. sighting in at 100 does not give you a zero at 200.
