Does anyone know anything about a world record kodiak bear shot at Kodiak Island?

There was a brownie taken this spring (2002) by bow...is that what you are referring to?

I don't know the details, except that it was expected to be a new world record...

The bear taken by bow was shot by Bob Fromme. It's a pending world record bear. He owns an archery shop here in San Diego, nice guy, but a big ego. His shop is full of trophy animals. I think the article was in Peterson's bowhunting magazine, it may have been in one of the other bowhunting magazines as well. Hope this helps.
