Tony Russ, the man with the number one P&Y Dall ram, and the author of Sheep Hunting in Alaska and The Manual for Successful Hunters is coming out with three new books within the next year. The first one will be on the shelves this March and is the 2nd Edition to Sheep Hunting in Alaska. It is suppose to be 50% larger, and have twice as many photos. For those who have read the first book and know how great it was, I can only assume the second will be just as great. The other two books are titled Great Alaskan Adventures, due out in August and the last is Bear Hunting in Alaska due in December. I am a big fan of Tony's writings and thought I would pass on the info.

cool...did you know that sheep on the cover of his sheep book wasnt even taken in AK!!! just another tidbit. I like his writings, met him at the ABA banquet last year.

No I didn't. I thought it might have been taken in the closed area of the Wrangells. After doing some looking I found it was taken in the Richardson Mountains, which are located on the Yukon and NWT borders. Thanks.

yuppers...sure makes ya drewl though eh <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>! There was a write up done on that ram. It was in a huntin area from what I had heard. They went looking for the antlers the next year and no one could find them, then again it would be like finding a needle in a hay stack!
