I might be able to give you some pointers. I'm leaving tomorrow morning but shoot me an email and I'll reply back after about Thursday if it's not too late. I'm here in Wenatchee and I spend a lot of time out there.
If you need info sooner talk to the Dept. of F&W out on the highway 97-A. They should be able to give you some pionters. Just make sure you stay far from the main roads and try the canyons that don't have roads in them.
