Over My Lunch Hour (pics)
so over my lunch hour I decided to make a quick trip to the Fort Peck dam and see what was around.
I'm Busted
Another doe
Hopefully you can see the deer in this one
A speedgoat, I nearly hit this one with my car before he decided to stroll off the road into the field
Okay here is some scenery:
These two pics were taken from on top of the dam. I just took one looking south at the upstream side of the dam and turned around and took the one looking south at the downstream side of the dam
Upstream look
around and look down stream
More Scenery
A lonely fisherman on a big lake
Dryland that used to be under water
Face of the dam
Nemont

K2SOCO,
And those pics are just from ugly old Eastern Montana. Was just in Billings yesterday and it is finally green around there for the first time in many years. Hope you and your family will enjoy the trip.
Here are a few more of the country side.
Drake mallard in flight
A little buck in Velvet
A pothole full of ducks
A whitetail doe
The Missouri River Breaks in the Spring time
Another little buck
This buck was bedded down and what I didn't get a pic of was there was a much bigger on just around the hill from him. I will try to get some pics of him as he was going to be a shooter.
My son standing above the Spillway at Fort Peck.

Nemont,
I am sure we will enjoy the trip. Still unsure exacly when we will be flying up there. I will let you know when we do. Ugly Eastern Montana HUH! My wife prefers the openess of the Eastern side, she is unsure how livestock will do in the mountains!
