mountin a duck or snow?

Default mountin a duck or snow?

ok well im going on a snow goose huntin march or so and i was thinkin if i get a nice lookin one id mount it ? and next years duck season if i get a good lookin duck i think im going to mount it do you know roughlt how much a mount costs? and i want to see some of your mounted ducks or geese

Well I would think they cost pretty much the same. I paid $150 for mine. But like they say, "You get what you pay for". Ill get my mount pic asap. My other computer is getting repaired right now.

I paid $250 for my duck. Really cool mount, i will post pics when i get some time.

yes i would relly like to see your piks ! but what one do you think i should mount duck or snow what do you think owould be best

I would mount a duck, unless you shoot a banded snow or a really pretty blue. Ducks look way cooler on the wall compared to sky carp.

yea i think your right ill only mount a snow if its banded does ne one have ne pictures?

I think mounts usually range from as low as $150 to as high as $600, depending on the place and type of mount. A good friend of mine is a taxidermist and he has been teaching me quite a bit. I just finished mounting my first bird, a hen bufflehead. It is certainly an art, as my bird looks funny, but hopefully with time it will get better. Goodluck with it and make sure you choose a place with a good reputation. I've had ducks mounted before that fell apart in a few years.
