New items you used for 2004 hunt
If you guys used any new item for quacker hunting this year talk about it here.
I picked up a new product call the Hunter's Marsh Stand which is a portable platform that allowes you to stay on top of the mud in a slough. Trying this weekend in ND.
I'll report back on how it worked on Monday.

Well, new for me...I just picked up another duck call...called a "Dead Ringer"...Pretty decent little duck call...it'll be the only acrylic on my lanyard (unless my father-in-law's company gets the acrylics out by duck season)...Won't be trying a whole lot new...haven't seen anything lately that just flipped my switch!

I just bought a lay out blind and I don't know how I ever got along without one in the past. They are just amazing. I am also trying those inflatable decoys that the duck commander endorses I don't remebr their exact name. Anyway they work great for hauling alot of decoys a long ways but my set up time and pick up time has increased greatly, so much in fact that I don't use them much any more if at all. But they look great and with the flat bottom they move all around in just the slightest breeze.

RE: New items you used for 2004 hunt
Got back from ND and it was a great hunt.
Tried out the Hunter's Marsh Stand and it really worked. The stand kept me on top of the mud in the marsh which allowed me to shift my feet quickly rather than fighting with the suction of the mud on my feet. It worked especially well when they flew in from behind me, I could turn a 180 quickly. You can check it out at this site http://www.drymate.com/pages/marsh%20stand.htm
The only problem I had was a few of the honkers wouldn't go down, I'd hit'em hard with some T shot but they kept flying. What shot do you guys use on geese?
