RE: "The Survey Says"!
I just love this question... Every Hunter wants to know the "perfect" all purpouse scatter gun... Bennelli Nova is my choice.. I bought mine fresh off the shot show.. and have owned it for three years and NEVER have had a problem..28" mod 3" no# 2's for just about everything on the water...Crank up the shot size to 3 1/2's for geese....Takeum

RE: "The Survey Says"!
I bought my first 870 in 72 and never had any trouble with but it was stolen in a B+E. in 84. I bought an 870 express a few years later. I use mod.,improved, and improved cylinder, depending on the hunt itself.I have covered it in mud ,sand ,marsh crap ,and had to retieve it from the bottom of a slew once when our boat sunk.Itwas the only one in working order out of 4 shotguns that went for a swim, the others were various autos. I am also a southpaw and use the righthanded model with no trouble at all. I was brought up using an Ithica 20ga but I prefer my 870 anytime.
That is one man`s opinion. |
RE: "The Survey Says"!
Yet another 870 Express 12 gauge with a 3" chamber, had it for 12 years and it has never failed on me yet.

RE: "The Survey Says"!
You can shoot waterfowl with any gun mentioned here. My 2 cents says hurry up and pick one out because teal season is less than 6 months away. And it is not too early to start going through your decoys to get them up to snuff.

RE: "The Survey Says"!
I'm with Bud Light it's never to early to start working on decoys. The first chance i can get in to the shed past the snow I will start getting them ready for the folling year.As for my shotgun that I use - Mossburg 835 and my back up gun would be my grand fathers Model 12 with bismith shot. It's a great gun to shoot. Shawn
