i have never used a jerk string. what is the correct way to rig one? all info needed.

i tried it this year, tied a 5lb weight to one end of the decoy and a string to the other one, run the string to were your sitting and jerk like heck.

I rig mine like this.......I use a bungee cord on one end tied to a stump or stake, or you can use a weight. Then I run my string toward the blind and attach two carry-light decoys on it. The carry-lights have a string catch on the bottom of the keel and I run the string in it then around half the keel and back through the string catch....do the same for the other.

This make the decoys sit sideways. I makes them splash the water as you jerk them.
