I'm looking to get a new call. I have an old Olt D-2 that is very raspy and I love it. What calls do you guys recommend that will sound like an ol hen?
Is it true that wood calls sound more raspy?

I don't know anything about wood duck calls, but I can tell you that the Winglock double reed wood/poly is a hell of a great call. It's very ducky and,with practice, you can bring up lots of volume.

Haydels Redleg Mallard or check out DJ Calls he used to work at P.S. Olt and has one of the Soundermans working with him. He is even reproducing several of the Olt line.

I agree with Mag12, all haydel's calls are good, but i like the redleg.

i had a duck commader ole raspy that i loved until my friend lost it but ive got another 1 on the wayit blew wet and never froze up ive never had a problem with ne of the duck commander calls
