Need advise on single reed duck calls.
I can blow my doubles better than I can a single........the single I can't get it to sound like nothing.
Can't hail with it or nothing...
I heard they can do so much more than a double..........I can't tell.......
Tips............?

I went from a single to a double for the fact that they are more forgiving and in my opinion, sound better, also require less air.I'm using a Winglock wood/poly and it does everything I could want in a call.A single requires more air and you have to keep it crisp.It must be blown sharply. Try using the word "waak"or "vat" into the call, remember to finish the words.Don't worry about the hail, just get the basic quack first.Try this link, it should help a little;

Like I said, I switched to a double and am happy I did

I don't care to hail with it for ducks, it's just I can hail with a double and can't with a single..........
I can do quacks and feeders with the single...........that's about it with out sounding crappy.............
If I try get louder and put in more air..........it goes south.....
