Default Winchester Super Double X Magnum

Hey all,
I have a few questions about this load. I have about 2 cases of it and on this website it says it is copper plated lead, but on the US Fish and Wildlife website , it does not say that copper plated lead is approved, but I'm not sure (my best guess is that it is illegal). What do any of you guys know about this load and waterfowl hunting? Any information will help!

Thanks,
Leatherman

Lead Shot is not allowed for waterfowl hunting. Why are you trying to justify using it because it says copper plated? Go buy some steel shot and go hunting.

If the USFWS does not say it is approved, probably means that its NOT!!! As CF said, go buy some USFWS approved steel and go have fun hunting!!!

Read the MBTA and it specifically calls out lead coated with non-toxic metal.

Some of the finest lead loads ever made. Copper Plated Lead in grex buffer very tight patterning loads. Bob Brister wrote about these loads in his book Shotgun art and science. Use them on Pheasants where legal or Crows and other predators. In a light gun they will rock ya pretty good. Use to love those shell shot from a IC choked 870 very deadly. You might be able to use in Mexico or Argentina on waterfowl but no where in the USA.

RCBS makes reloading books. Tom Roster produces books just for buffered loads.
