I have " Ole Raspy" it is a good call. You really should get his video " The Art of Commanding Ducks" . It has some very good tips for novices and many experienced hunters also. Having said this I must also say that there are many good calls out there and you may find another that will work well for you. One of the best calls I ever had was a Lohman that I bought back in the 50' s yes you read that right. My youngest son always loved that call so I gave it to him several years ago.

For the price, it is an excellent raspy call.

If you are under the impression that DC calls are the best, than you have not blown a wide variety of calls, including Echo, Banfield' s Best, Big Guys Best, Rich -n- Tone, or even Haydel' s for that matter.

They are good sounding calls. Like LKing says, there are alot of great calls out there, and they' re all good calls. Now there are some calls that' ll be easier for you to call with and then there' ll be some calls that you will need lots of practice to get that perfect sound.

There is also alot of calls out there that sound just as good as them High dollar calls, only at a small fraction of the cost. You need to first pick one that is easy for you to blow, and then when you get the perfect technique down, spring for a high dollar acrylic call, Then you' ll look good in your buddies eyes with that fancy, fine looking acrylic.
