Got me some new duck toys!
Hey all,
I haven' t posted in this room for awhile cause it' s not duck season, but this made me excited...
I went to Bass Pro yesterday and bought the " dirty dozen" decoy set. It' s got two feeders, two sleepers, and 8 regulars. I also bought all the weights, and line I' ll need, plus two quiver magnets so I can quit throwing sticks in the water.
Hopefully I can put them to good use this fall, considering I can skip class a few days and get some shootin in.
Good luck guys, not much longer to wait...later all...

RE: Got me some new duck toys!
I got a pair of those quiver magnets last year and they seemed to work fairly well. One point to remember, they spin because of the vibration and it will spin your line and get shorter and shorter. I didn' t realize that last year and before we knew it the thing was laid up next to one of our decs and vibrating plastic on plastic is not the best duck call. So we put it out in front of the decs the next time and as it spun it got farther and farther away from them so that it was all by itself. I guess the solution is to make the line as short as you can make it given the water depth.
