Call the local DNR. It is illegal to harrass hunters in most states. It should be quite easy to track down the helicopter.

Call your local Game Warden and lodge a complaint. Even if it was a warden (and I suspect not) they will tell you. Give them th best description you can. Be better if you got the helo's numbers which should have been on the side of the chopper!

Don't bother with above, if you got the registration number, call the FAA and register a complaint, flying too low.
Once, well maybe more than once, went flying with an old gentleman I met at the City skeet range. Asked me if I liked to fly, which was a really ignorant question. Said he would call me some time. And he did several days later. We took off in his Cessna tail dragger. Ask me where I wanted to go. As his guest, I said anywhere. He said how about we fly down the barge channel. Fine I replied. The next thing I knew is the top of the channel berm was above the wings. For those unknowledged, a Cessna wings are on top of the body and the channel berm was above. Downstream, I knew, there were power lines and a lock & Dam. I really was afraid he was going under the lines. But several hundred yards from the lines and the lock & dam he pulled over them. Said couple years aago the lock master reported him to the /FAA and they pulled his license for 90 days. I flew with him many times after that. He was an excellent shotgunner, breaking 25 more than once, many times. He has passed on and maybe flies now without a noisy engine. Hopefully.

Happened to my brother and a friend of ours who were hunting on his ranch last year. The pilot was flying low and actually landing on buddies property. They took a video footage of it and filed complaint. Nobodies knows what happened though. The Provincial Ministry is so broke they probably couldn't put five nickles together to even make a phone call.People are gonna take advantage during these harsh economical times, cause that investigation would've cost more money than the fine the pilot would've probably recieved. It doesn't matter what the law is, No financial return no investigation.I live in Canada laws are way more different than they are to the south. You kill somebody up here and you may may serve 3 to 4 years on a 10 year prison sentence.Life sentance up here is 25 years and not to many murders get that. And the worst people they serve it with are a bunch of drunk Indians. They statistcally account for the biggest numbers when it comes to race that serve time in hail.Unlike down where most of you live in the U.S.So yeah, if murders get the worst punishment up hear, this would be way way down the list as to just maybe a slap on the wrist and a small small fine.Waste of taxpayers money when it come down to it. Unless they make the penalties of being guilty tougher and fines increase very little actually goes through the court system. It usually a phone or a officer shows up and writes up a small fine just to let them now they are out there.

I know I had some issues with the antis while up in NY, but nothing like flying around them. (probably DNR)

Everyone else is right. Get the number (usually on the vertical fin or along the engine cowling) and call it in.

Were you on gov't property? I have to ask because we have low level training on alot of state and federal land. I had some buddies fly down a lake one evening on our approved NOE route accidentally surprise some goose hunters and got shot at. Needless to say, the goose hunters lost when law enforcement showed up.

Hard to tell from the picture, but are you sure he wasn't a crop duster? I'm not sure if your camera stopped the blades, or if I'm seeing arms for the sprayers.

The pilots know the laws 7 for 10 if you'd stood up and given them the WTF look they'd have bailed. That said red/orange and white out west here is generally search and rescue or 1 of our "medi-evac"guys but then if we're 30 minutes from town we're 30 mi from anything. Nobody will do jack if it was GIs unless you happen to have a simpathetic officer in the chain. About 25 years ago the USN crashed a brand new Top Gun F18 on a ranch 30 miles out of route and 1st denied they had flights out let alone in the area. The rancher tells them "must be Russians, should I arrest them or execute them ?" 35 min later there was a medevac on the ground ,officers and investigators followed and hour later and an hour after that trucks rolled in to load the crash up.

Get N-numbers ,logos, and or government numbers. As an example N694US belongs to a NorthAmerican AT6 race plane from Indiana,RedBull has a few aircraft that look like RedBull cans and VMF 124 under EP reflects an aircraft assigned to the USMC and attached to the USS Enterprise. (Probably).
