Default Early teal is here!

And the birds have apparently already made there way to Argentina... Its sickening when you spend 50 dollars in gas to scout two days in a row, see teal by the thousands, and get out opening day only to see a brigade of woodies decend upon the place. Only one teal, and my buddies girl missed it. If only SC had an early wood duck season, we could have limited ten times over (not that we have any shortage of woodies)

Oh well. Yall boys up north send us a cold front!!!

You are not the only one. Ours opened last sat. and we had a pond that had a good 50 on it. Then when dove season opened up a guy decided that he wanted to hunt it for doves. We have not seen a teal since. Oh well doves are fun to hunt too.

It's been raining here for the last week. I have plenty of water and some Teal, but I also have the flu, so I won't be going Teal hunting this weekend. Looks like I'll be watching football the whole weekend.

Hit and miss on the teal here in east-central IL. Most moved out right before the season opened up. Hope this cool front this upcoming week brings a few more thru.

I hear ya popeandyoung... Can't wait until October 10th, when ALL the teal will be well south of me...

Maybe I'll limit on woodies!
