this was my first year huntin for ducks and learnin to blow a duck call. The easiest call i found was the quackhead rainmaker its a double reed call i also have a double j and the pipe its their timber call. all these calls are fairly easy to blow and kept me more interested than a haydells deceiver which doesnt sound very ducky to me. Another call to try is the zinks power hen poly version its around 30 bucks and super easy to blow i taught my girlfriend with it nand she loves it. once you master one of these go buy a better quality call. I just bought a bois d arc RNT Timbre and its one sweet call. hope this helps just my 2cents

I would also say go big and get an acrylic call, instead of spending twenty or thirty bucks a pop trying to find a good cheap call. Once you get an acrylic you wont have to buy another call for years. My 2 cents, get a Foiles, I have a dead meat mallard double reed and love it

another great beginner call to consider is the buck gardner baby buck spit tech. Its a wood poly call and its a small call but itll get low but it will do a ringing hail call and its a double reed. You can take it fill it with water and pour it out and it blows like normal thats a plus cause your gonna spit a lot when you start lol. the best part is i paid 35 bucks for it at bass pro great call for the money.
