I can blow a double better than a single, so that it what I use. It gets the job done for me.

I use a single to get " loud" , like on big water or calling through the trees. On puddles or once they get close, I use a double.

single all the way if its to loud pull the reed out some to make it quieter but u can never have a single thats worse then a dbl if its tuned right feed calls are easier and faster easier for greating calls i used to use dbls and now i use a single its the way of life id pay to get rid of a dbl if i still got one i took every dbl i got put a single reed in it cause i figured how much better a single is......
