Well... me and my buddy went out on sunday morning set up and sat down for a while...it was shaping up to be a really crappy day and the only thing we shot for two hours was a lawn dart (merganser). Well we were thinking about packing up but the tides were starting to drop and i convinced him to stay for a hour and see what happens...Well sure enough, the shi* hit the fan and it started raining smokies(black duck) ive never seen so many in my life. We could have shot 50 smokes already but we were waiting for a pair to come in. Finally a pair comes in Sweet and we stood up and took a couple shots at them and my buddy shot the far one, ran clean outa shells and told me to shoot that. I turn around and this thing is flying 10 yards from the blind so i swing my gun and cartwheel it with my last shot. His dog went to get the one in the water and i wen to go get mine in the reeds. I couldent find it so we got his dog and he sniffes it down and while he was running with it, i saw shiny on his leg. Picked it up...LEG IRON!!! WOOHOO! first one, that duck was huge...biggest black duck ive ever seen

sweet. my first and was a canada goose we had a hell of an evening the as we were gonna pack up heard a honk and there it was 20 yards in the air and about 30 yards away one shot with #2 xperts that was all she wrote. it had a leg band and a neck band

sweet my buddy shot a nice big black duck with a band this year. It was mounting material but ended up on the bbq.
