thanks everyone I have been duck and goose hunting for 12 yrs. I was starting to think it would never happen ...I checked out the band # on my state wildlife web site and it had a link to the band info. web site, I found out my bird was a large canada goose, banded in Michigan, on 6-22-2002. they are going to send me a info sheet with more details in the mail,,,I can't wait,,,and I can't wait to get back out there and get another one

Congratulations! I remember the feeling of shootingmy first band. I never thought I'd shoot a band. Now every time I walk up to a goose I'm visually searching it's legs as soon as I'm like 10 feet away! haha

Congrats. I still remember my first band it was a $100 reward band on a mallard hen. Since then i have shot a banded blue wing that was banded by the same guy who banded the first one.
