Congrats! I remember my first duck. I was so excited. I'm no expert or anything, but here's what I do with my decoys. First, I don't use many at all. I'll set out about 9 or 10 mallard decoys to the right of my blind in a circle. About 5 or 6 feet apart. Then, I'll set up about 7 or 8 teal decoys on the left side of my blind in a circle as well. I leave an open spot (landing strip) in front of my blind. I set a mojo duck out there about 15 yards out. I don't even use duck calls. They just come in and I shoot them.
