Default Anyone Eat Seaduck?

My first time out Seaduck hunting and I bag 4 Old Squaws. I am keeping a drake and a hen to get mounted but I have the other two left. My friend says they don't taste good at all and he says he doesn't even bother eating them......Seems like a waste to me.Anyone eat seaduck and if so then do u have any suggestions for what to soak them in after breasting them out and also a good merinate or somthing? Thanks

I ate plenty of sea duck as a child. I have no idea how my parents cooked them, though. I don't hunt them simply because I don't have a boat. I'll email my dad for a few recipes.

through out the season, my less tasty ducks i stock in the freezer and then when its all over with, i take all of it and have it made in to sausage. they add like 50% pork or something and cheese/jalepenos if your into that but either way, it tastes great. good use of the meat and you'll have more than enough summer sausage til next season.

We make jerky out of eiders that we shoot here. It's pretty tasty if you make it spicy. I've heard that soaking it in Apple Juice helps, havent tried it yet though.
