Default Carolina Skiff

Me and my dad are thinking about buying a 16ft carolina skiff with a 30 horse outboard, brand new... Our other boat is 30 years old and it wont last...anybody else use carolina skiffs or even heard of them?

I've had a Carolina Skiff for 5 years now. Mine is a center console in their SEA CHASER series. Can't say anything negative about the boat. It's well made, and unsinkable. Their ad shows a skiff cut in three pieces, with a man in each section, still afloat. I've got a 90 Yamaha on mine. A lot of the watermen here in Md use them also. Not sure of any dealers in New York, but here's a link to the Va dealer I got mine from.

They are great all around work boats, but be warned they are wet. You have a better chance staying dry in a washing machine. I mullet fish with my buddies on theirs and it takes nothing to have water coming over the bow. But they are an awsome go anywhere, do anything boat.
